In the following series of blogs, I will be sharing my techniques for writing songs. From my early attempts in the 70’s to the song I wrote today (47 years later), I feel my process may be of use to others, so why not share?
In 1972, as I was walking down the street going to my friends house, I wrote my first “diddy”. At 8 years young I was electrified by my creation which became my life’s obsession.
There is no right or wrong way to create a song as every song is unique. I will break down my techniques and offer my insights, philosophies and practices. These methods may work in other forms of creation as well.
